I started to become raw vegan when I changed from cow milk to Almond-, Macadamia- and Brasilnutmilk. Flavoured with Cinnamon and Vanilla it beats every cow’s milk!

After that my flatmate showed me this raw vegan cookbook: “Raw Food/Real World - 100 Recipes to get the glow”
It explains in a nice story why raw vegan is the future of health, our environment and that you don’t have to be a ‘hippy’ to do it.
But what convinced me the most in my beginning, were those tasty recipes. they made it easy to stick with this lifestyle.
Because it wasn’t the case, that my taste buds changed overnight and I suddenly didn’t like Steak, Sushi, Pasta, Pizza or a green thai curry anymore.

…that are just some examples how tasty raw cuisine can be.
Earlier or later you will need two tools though! These can be expansive in the beginning but will pay off with time: Vitamix + Excalibur Dehydrator.
You are saving yourself a lot of doctor visits, colds, heart disease, some cancers and you will be living every day with more energy, better skin, hair and an incredible digestion.
Because the food is still “living”, the enzymes are not dead-cooked, steamed, fried or grilled. Enzymes die over 45°.

Anyways you have to know, that when you start this lifestyle it will affect your body and mood in the first weeks. It doesn’t have to be, but for me this was the case. Your body is detoxifying, which might affect your mood. Some people get skin irritations, while mine got better immediately.
In the first two weeks my energy level was very low, but than it increased to 5x more energy than I had ever before.
My digestion went dramatically positiv. I now have the digestion of my childhood back.
I also got rid of any excess fat so lost 8 Kg.
Now I am feeling everyday much more focused and energized.
No more heavy feelings after lunch&dinner.

If you start like this you might want to change one day to the 80/10/10 diet, which I and about 10.000 others on 30bananasaday.com can highly recommend. For me this is the highest form of nutrition the best way to fuel your body. People feel lazy and sluggish because they eat to much fat. That’s one reason why 80% carbohydrates, 10%proteins and 10% fat is better for you. You’ll feel great!
For me it all makes sense now and it changed my life in a very positive way. raw vegan is the future, so extreme this sounds.
